The Lighthouse Company (FR)
Established in Paris by Duncan Evennou, the structure’s purpose is to support the creation of artistic performances, contemporary writings and scientific research through theatrical means. This artistic project necessitates an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together a group of people with very different skills such as design, performance, writing, digital humanities, scientific research, and dance. They all share an interest for contemporary controversies, ecological matters and the will to bring to light minor narratives.
Duncan Evennou is a French contemporary performer and director. In 2012, he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieur d'Art Dramatique du Théâtre National de Bretagne, under the direction of Stanislas Nordey. After graduating from Sciences Po's Political Arts Experimentation Program, he is now developing interdisciplinary work at the edges of dramatic art, sociology and visual art around three major dynamics: creation, research and pedagogy.
Clémence Hallé is finishing a doctorate at the École Normale Supérieure in the "Sciences, Arts, Creation, Research" laboratory on an aesthetic history of the Anthropocene, continuing her research on ecological representation. She wrote Matters, which was her first collaboration with Duncan Evennou and the Lighthouse Company, produced by the Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers.
