Stéphanie Auberville (FR)
Stéphanie Auberville is a dancer and improvising choreographer.
Her artistic approach is close to a documentary work. Through her projects she tries to respond to what surrounds her with dance, she provokes encounters in which the body becomes a transmitter/mediator, she searches archives and she dissects collective imagination. Her work works with shifts between "real/ imaginary/ fictions" in search of a story that stages bodies, images and words and creates tension.
Stéphanie Auberville (FR): Salutations Mistinguettes
This solo arose from an investigation into Ravel's bolero for which I became a Gonzo dance historian, mixing archives and historical knowledge, strange reconstructions of dance masterpieces and personal stories.
How are the views of the feminine and masculine orchestrated and choreographed? And how can a piece created in the 1960s change our reading of the present?
