Lydia Mcglinchey (AUS/BE)
Lydia Mcglinchey is from Sydney, Australia and currently lives in Brussels. She is a performer, who has trained extensively in dance. At this moment she is finishing her MA at P.A.R.T.S, a programme for performance makers. Lydia works in the project ‘Noa+snow’ by Alix Eynaudi. She is currently studying and writing about the notions of desert, aridity and non-habitable space, particularly concerning Australian landscape. In parallel, Lydia is developing the performance ‘Swamp of Glamour’ with Keren Kraizer, Nathan Ooms, Jessica Matheson, Elena Vloeberghen and Ivan Lucadamo, and aided by Volmir Cordeiro and Stefan Govaart.

During this residency Lydia Mcglinchey and Elena Vloeberghen will be working together on the scenographic aspects of the performance. The scenography consists of textile pieces which are thought/developed together with the performance. Their focus will be on the production of atmosphere and sense of space.
