Lisa Vereertbrugghen (NL/BE)
Lisa Vereertbrugghen (b. 1986) is a choreographer, teacher, dramaturg and researcher based in Brussels. Since 2014 she has been researching hardcore techno dance styles trough various formats: performances, lecture-performances, performance-installations and publications. As a teacher she works with amateurs and professionals on empowerment and physical awareness, sonic release techniques and performing difference.
She worked in the BUDA studio’s on The performance formerly known as performance, The Extraordinary Way She Moves and Softcore, a hardcore encounter.
Lisa Vereertbrugghen is one of the artists supported by the European netwerk apap.

Lisa works in BUDA on her new performance SOFTCORE, which will première in arts centre BUDA during Almost Summer festival.
Evolving around hardcore and pornography, camouflage, speed, breaking and being broke, the per-formance questions both the hard and the core in hardcore techno and points to its text(ure) and potential.
The performer dances, speaks, rests, feels, occupies, dances, danc-es, dances and remains in hardcore.
