Julie Gouju (FR): FAON

One man's breath is another man's death. It seems like a law of nature that something must stop to make something else possible. The sacrifice ritual, which takes up a defining place in a lot of cultures in the past and today, reflects this necessity. In FAON choreographer Julie Gouju looks at who or what is killed today to preserve life elsewhere. What happens if we let down or suppress part of ourselves ? What does a sacrifice mean for someone's identity when change is inevitable?
