Ingri Fiksdal (NO)
The Norwegian choreographer and performer Ingri Midgard Fiksdal (°82) is currently a Research Fellow at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Her work has toured internationally (a.o. to brut-Wien (AT), Kampnagel (DE), Dampfzentrale (CH), MDT (SE), ANTI festival (FI), LIMIT Festival (RS), HIFA (ZIM), Homo Novus festival (LV)…)
In Norway, Fiksdal collaborates regularly with Black Box Theatre, BIT-teatergarasjen and she is one of the artists supported by the Advancing Performing Arts Project (APAP), a European network where arts centre Buda participates in.
Fiksdal’s work often balances on the border between performance and live concert. The audience always is an integral element of the piece, which aims to produce temporary collectives between performers and spectators.
An ongoing theme within Fiksdal’s work is the ritual, and its capacity of transforming and transcending its participants.
