Bryana Fritz (BE): Submission Submission

In Submission Submission Bryana Fritz takes the position of an amateur hagiographer. The amateur being both a beginner and a lover; the hagiography being the writer of saint’s lives. Developing a series of performative portraits of women medieval saints, she explores the modes by which they subverted their enclosed and restricted lives, deaths and passions. Submitting her physical and digital body to holy echoes from the past, she dissects and harnesses the tools that give body.

At BUDA, Fritz will be doing rehearsing and researching for a new portrait: Saint Julian of Norwich
