Anna Konjetzky (DE): wah-wah
She’s now for the first time working in the BUDA-studio’s in Kortrijk. It’s her second research- and rehearsalperiod for the new piece wah-wah.
Wah-wah fathoms the emerging of mass and community by concentrating on their positive, playfull, seductive and smooth potential. How can something expand, jump over from performer to audience and back again, infect everybody, create a kind of community and accumulate density?
How can we create – what Anna calls – ‘black holes’, compressed energy in its densest form that brings everything in movement on the border zones, in the transition zones, until swallowing it all, melting it together - adding layer to layer, loop to loop…
Anna works with compsoser Brigitta Muntendorf and dancer-performers Viviana Defazio, Sahra Huby, Michele Meloni, Quindell Orton and Jascha Viehstädt. During their residency in Buda, they’ll further devellop the movement level, and research the relation between the mental space (the subtext) and the physical level.
